Reasons To Want To Visit Marbella

MarbellaThose who want sunshine, sunbeds, and sangria for their vacation have long known that the Costa del Sol is one of the best places in Europe to vacation. Even though the appeal has been known for quite some time, the resorts Fuengirola, Torremolinos, and Benalmadena still manage to pull in the tourists on a regular basis.

Considering that Marbella is renowned for being sunshine chic, it should be no surprise that it continues to draw in guests. These are just a few of the different reasons that we believe that you should consider Marbella for your next summer vacation.

The warm weather

Most people who live in the northern part of Europe are only going to look for sunshine as one of their primary criteria for a good vacation spot. Even if sunshine is not your only concern for a good vacation, most of us can probably agree that bathing in sunshine is a great way to spend your vacation. Given that Marbella has more than 320 sun-filled days every year and that the average temperature between July and August skyrockets to over 30 degrees Celsius, Marbella is certainly worth it if you want a warm vacation spot.

The beautiful beaches

There are more than 24 different beaches in Marbella to take in, spread across 27 kilometers of spectacular coastline. Many of the beaches in Marbella have Blue Flag status. This means that they have top facilities, great environmental management, and excellent water quality. Something to consider is the fact that most beaches are known by the name of the beach bar that can be found there, rather than having an actual “beach” name. These offer great places to soak up the sun and have a drink while you are at it. The better beaches that you will find include Las Flores, Chiringuito Copacabana, and Chiringuito Red.

The amazing golf

One of the specialties of the Costa del Sol has to be golf. If you are a fan of golf (or just have a passing interest), you have an amazing number of options in and around Marbella. Just a few of the places that you should consider include the Marbella Club Golf Resort, Aloha Golf Club, Los Naranjos Golf Club, and Marbella Golf and Country Club. Many of these golf resorts overlook the sea and offer some spectacular views.

Exploring the surrounding area

Even though you could easily spend a week exploring Marbella and soaking up the sub, chances are that you might want to explore something a little more than the golf options, bars, and beaches if you are there for more than a week or so. There is plenty to explore if you decide to do so.

Even though the public transport in and around Marbella is efficient, your best bet is probably renting a car. There are a few worthwhile locations nearby, including Cordoba, Mijas, Malaga, Seville, and Granada. These are all well worth your time, but the easiest day trips include Mijas and Malaga. If you want to explore the ultimate in Andalusian city grandeur, both Granada and Seville are worth your time.

The great food and drink options

If you love good food and good wine, you can eat and drink to your hearts content when staying in and around Marbella. The restaurants in Marbella offer something for everyone, regardless of what you might like. There is such a wide variety of cuisines, but the most prominent is the Spanish cuisine. If you travel to Plaza de los Naranjos near the beach promenade, you are going to find some of the better restaurants in all of Marbella. Make sure that you also explore Marbella’s idyllic old city center.

Explore the Puerto José Banús

The Puerto Banús for short is one of Marbella’s most well-known places. It serves as an all-round entertainment hub and prestigious marina where you are able to visit bars, shops, restaurants, and you might even be able to spot your favorite celebrity. Explore the splendid cars and beautiful yachts that the more affluent guests have brought to Marbella. Every time that you visit here, chances are that you will see something spectacular and new.

Staying at the Marbella Club Hotel – Golf Resort & Spa

If you are planning to stay in Marbella, chances are that you want more than just comfort – you want luxury. The Marbella Club Hotel – Golf Resort & Spa is able to offer that and more. This luxury beachfront hotel is located between Puerto Banús and Marbella. It has five restaurants and two pools onsite. You have direct beach access and the resort is surrounded by lush gardens. When staying here, you are able to golf for free on the Marbella Club Golf Resort, and the hotel offers a shuttle service to get there much faster.
